Do I need a car when visiting your area?
Yes. You will need a car because we are in the countryside. However, we are not in a remote location, so we have a list of many reliable taxi companies who operate in the district.
How far is Tundry House from Heathrow Airport?
About 45 minutes under normal traffic conditions [by road]. You can also get here by train via a bus-link to Woking and train to Winchfield.
Where is the nearest railway station?
Winchfield is a five minute drive from Tundry House, and is on the Southampton, Basingstoke, Waterloo Line. There are trains to or from London every half hour.
How far are you from the nearest village?
Our village is Dogmersfield, the middle of which is only 500 yards away, an easy walk.
How far are you from the nearest town?
We are no more than 10 minutes from Fleet which has many restaurants, shops, supermarkets and petrol stations.
Can I get anywhere by bus?
No. Therefore you need a car or a taxi.
Do you have parking facilities at the house?
Yes. There is ample parking space all around the house.
Do you have a public telephone for guests to use?
We do not have a public telephone, so bring your mobile. If you haven't got a mobile, then you can use our telephone facilities, at your cost.
Can we send or receive emails?
Yes. You could ask to use our computers. We have a 'Broadband' internet connection at the house.
What time is check-in?
You may check in at any time, but please tell us beforehand when you aim to arrive so that we can ensure that we are here to let you in.
What time is check-out?
10:00am, but we are capable of being flexible on that.
What time is breakfast, and can vegetarian or special diets be catered for?
Breakfast is served between 7:00am and 9:30am, and provided we receive notice we can provide for any manner of dietary requests.
Do you provide evening meals?
No. However there are a great number of restaurants and pubs in the district.
Are you licensed to serve alcohol?
No. The nearest public house is a short walk from the house.
What is your policy on smoking?
We are a non-smoking house.
Is Tundry House recommended by recognised organisations?
We have a VisitBritain 4 Star Bed and Breakfast rating.
Do you accept credit or debit cards?
Not at this stage.
Are children welcome?
Yes, provided they are over 10 years old.
Are dogs welcome?
No, there would be too many complications with muddy paws, and there are two resident dogs.
